The Morgagni Campus is one of the main scientific and healthcare hubs of the University of Florence. It is located in viale G.B. Morgagni, 40/44, Florence, with an additional entrance at via Alderotti, 98. It hosts lecture halls, laboratories, and services connected to the Schools of Human Health Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, and is situated near the Careggi university hospital area.
How to get there
From Santa Maria Novella railway station, take tram line T1 towards Careggi Ospedale and get off at Morgagni Università.
From Florence Airport, take tram line T2 directly from the airport and get off at Alamanni – Stazione SMN. From there, take tram line T1 towards Careggi Ospedale and get off at Morgagni Università.
Transportation options
There are two main bus stops in the center. The first bus stop is right next to Astoria Capsis Hotel. There are also other suggested hotels that are quite close to the bus stops. The route takes about 40 minutes by bus (heading ITE or PAGNI) and the ticket costs 1,50 € (blue ticket). Ticket vending machines are located next to most bus stations in the centre but you can also buy from most kiosks around the city. Please keep in mind that city traffic may affect departure and arrival times. In addition, you can get a taxi which takes no more than 20 minutes, depending on the traffic, and costs approximately 12 € from Eleftherias Square, plus €2 for call service.
